Support Services is a service of the Pennsylvania State Foster Parent Association, designed to provide support to foster parents and local foster parent associations.

Support Services are provided by PSFPA Support Staff who receive on-going training so that they can help foster parents deal with problems.

Support Services PSFPA Support Services will listen to your concerns and help you find the best resource for addressing them. PSFPA Support Services know the laws and regulations governing foster care, and can explain them to you.

Support Services is able to provide listings of resources that can assist you in answering questions about your children.

WILL listen to you,

WILL help you identify your options,

WILL help you find resources to meet your needs,

WILL provide technical and financial assistance to your local foster parent association,

WILL clarify laws and regulations including what decisions you can appeal and how to do this,

WILL maintain your confidentiality according to state laws,

CANNOT advocate for you with your agency or DPW,

CANNOT get involved with your investigation,

CANNOT give you legal advice,

CANNOT provide financial assistance for legal fees,

CANNOT decide who is right or wrong.
